COOCKING CLASSES - GRATIS
“Foodies Moments”: six events dedicated to the best gastronomic excellence of the
Langhe and Roero region; protagonists will be many great chefs.
Saturday after Saturday in the six weekends of the Fair there will be a theme linked to the
local cuisine - pasta, meat from Piedmont, salted fish from tradition and desserts - in
combination with a great wine of Langhe and Roero. The events will take place at the
Palazzo del Gusto (also home of the Wine Tasting Experience, Sensory Analysis of the
Truffle and Foodies Moments Junior) in Medford Square, 3 in Alba, from the 12th of
October to the 16th of November.
In parallel on Sundays or Mondays at 11.00 am, in the Palazzo del Gusto, the chef Stefano
Paganini, of the restaurant "Alla Corte degli Alfieri" of Magliano Alfieri and Marisa Asola
propose the "Foodies moments: meeting with the tradition" mini-courses of Piedmontese
dishes in combination with a wine. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to
prepare and cook traditional dishes such as the hand made tajarin and ravioli del plin ...
But do not forget.... the younger with free cooking classes for children (3 -14 years)
involving and approaching the children to the discovery of local products, the
importance of healthy eating, conscious appreciation of food and the interest of their
preparation through laboratory experiences. The children will be also able to experience
the Simulated Truffle Hunt with a real dog and a real truffle hunter and to find the Truffle
protagonist in a cartoon.
FOODIES MOMENTS – the dates:
12th October: MAURILIO GAROLA – fondant of patatoes, poached quail eggs, cow
milk foam, thin slices of ‘White Alba Truffle’
19th October: ELIDE MOLLO - Rabbit "dus e brusc" (sweet and sour) with cacao and
red potatoes cream, glazed chestnuts and ‘White Alba truffle’
26th October: UGO ALCIATI – Cardoon, pears, anchovies and ‘White Alba Truffle’
2nd November: DAVIDE PALLUDA – Gnocchi with wild herbs, Parmesan cheese,
different vegetables and ’White Alba Truffle’
9th November: MASAYUKI KONDO – Chestnut cappuccino, seared sea scallops,
salted coockies and ‘White Alba Truffle’
16th November: ALESSANDRO BOGLIONE – Egg ‘at low temperature’ with Parmesan
mousse, haselnut “ Tonda e gentile delle Langhe ” and White Alba Truffle.
The price for each class is 25,00 € and it includes the service, water, wine of the Regional
Wine Centers in combination with the prepared dishes.
If you wish, you can combine a grate of White Truffle of Alba at the quoted price of the
day.

FOODIES MOMENTS JUNIOR – FINGERS IN THE PIE – the dates (from the 12th of October
to the 17th of November):
EVERY SATURDAY 3,30 pm/5,30 pm activity with entertainer (paintings, readings,
cartoons…)
At 5,30 pm "Here comes the truffles hunter" simulated truffle hunt with an expert dog
EVERY SUNDAY 3,30 pm/4,00 pm activity with entertainer (paintings, readings,
cartoons…)
At 4,00 pm/5,00 pm FOODIES JUNIOR - FINGERS IN THE PIE with Diego Bongiovanni -
Showcooking for the children
